PetroTel was founded on a straightforward premise: that energy companies, resource producers, and the institutions that finance them deserve advisors who understand their assets at a technical level — not just at the level of a slide deck.
Over more than 25 years, we have built a firm where the senior professionals who win the work are the same people who do it. Our geoscientists have mapped the reservoirs. Our petroleum engineers have designed the completions. Our economists have sat across the table from the NOC. That experience shapes every engagement.
Today, PetroTel operates across four verticals — Energy, Resources, Technology, and Climate & Environment — serving national oil companies, independent operators, private equity sponsors, multilateral lenders, and climate-focused organizations across more than 30 countries.
The scope has expanded, but the founding principle has not. We think in barrels, BCF, and NPV. We write reports that hold up in data rooms and regulatory filings. And we stand behind the work when it matters.
What has changed — substantially — is how we work. The integration of AI-assisted analytics, automated workflows, and proprietary engineering software has compressed timelines, expanded the scope of what is analytically possible, and made our recommendations sharper and more defensible than they were even five years ago.
